1.2 What do I get when I buy this theme?

Upon purchasing the theme, you receive the Music Maker WordPress theme files, 90+ bonus graphics, and access to the online help website. You also get one year of free updates and email support.


1.3 Is this a monthly fee or a one-time fee?

The Music Maker theme has a one-time purchase fee. Your purchase includes 12 months of free updates. After the first year, you can choose to renew your license at a discounted rate (around $20) to continue receiving updates and support. The theme can be used forever even without renewing, but you won’t receive further updates or support.


1.4 How many sites can I create with the theme?

Each theme license is valid for one website only. You cannot use the theme on multiple sites with a single license or a WordPress Multisite installation.


1.5 How long will I get theme updates?

The standard license includes updates for one year from the purchase date.


1.6 What is the license renewal price?

After the first year, to receive continued updates and support, we offer a 58% discount off the theme cost, which is under $20. You may choose not to renew and continue to use the theme, but without the ability to receive new updates and support.


1.7 Can I test out the theme before purchasing?

Currently, the only way to see the theme in action before purchasing is by viewing the demo site: http://demo.musicmakertheme.com.


1.8 Can I sell the theme?

No, you are not allowed to resell the Music Maker theme. Your purchase grants you a license to use it for your own website.


1.9 I’m not very tech-savvy. Is it difficult to set up this theme?

While some familiarity with WordPress basics is helpful, the Music Maker theme comes with documentation and tutorials to guide you through the setup process. The initial setup, including installing the theme and demo content, is designed to be relatively straightforward. If you encounter issues, you can consult the Help Website or contact support.


1.10 Can I sell other types of digital products besides beats with this theme?

Yes, the theme includes a product store feature that allows you to sell various digital products such as drum kits, samples, and presets. You can also sell physical products through this feature, although it uses a slightly different checkout process than the beat store.


2. WordPress & Hosting Requirements

2.1 What Do I Need to Use the Theme?

  1. Website Host with WordPress Installed. Not WordPress.com. When you use a service like Bluehost, WordPress comes installed. Which provides more flexibility.
  2. Domain Address – This is your website address.
  3. The Music Maker WordPress theme

There are many benefits of having a web host. You will have more storage space, 10GB to unlimited space on average. You can create multiple sites and blogs on your web server.

The Music Maker Theme does not work on WordPress.com. You need to have a website host that allows you to install WordPress.


2.2 What Is WordPress?

WordPress is a content management software that allows you to create, manage, and share content on the web. There are two main types:

  1. WordPress.com ( Not Recommended ) – Provides website hosting using the WordPress software, but has many restrictions.
    • The Music Maker theme does NOT work with WordPress.com.
  2. WordPress.org Software ( Recommended ) – This is the open-source software that you can use with most website hosts, giving you more control.

2.3 How Do I Use The WordPress Software?

When you sign up for a website host, many will offer free WordPress installation. Once installed, you can upload the Music Maker theme and begin setting up your website.


2.4 What is a Website Host?

A website host is a service that stores your website online so it can be accessed by everyone. It’s like a computer server that’s running 24/7. Website hosting is not included with the Music Maker theme, but Bluehost is a recommended and affordable option with a money-back guarantee. WordPress.com and GoDaddy.com are not recommended.


2.5 Is website hosting included?

No, but Bluehost is a cheap website host with a money-back guarantee.


2.6 Does the theme work on WordPress.com?

No, WordPress.com doesn’t allow you to upload themes. You need a website host that you can install WordPress on.


2.7 Does this theme work with Wix.com?

No, the Music Maker theme requires a self-hosted WordPress installation and will not work with platforms like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, or Shopify. You need a website host like Bluehost.


2.8 Does the theme work with Weebly, Squarespace, Shopify, or Wix?

No, the Music Maker theme does not work with these platforms. It requires a self-hosted WordPress installation.


2.9 Not Supported Website Host

The theme will not work with the following website host.

  • WordPress.com
  • Godaddy.com

2.10 What if I don’t know how to install WordPress?

3. Installation & Customization

3.1 How do I install the theme?

3.2 How do I install WordPress on a host?

Tutorials for installing WordPress on specific hosts like Bluehost are available. The process is usually straightforward with most hosts offering one-click installations.


3.3 What is a WordPress theme?

A theme, synonymous with a template or skin, is a ready-to-use layout and design that you can activate on your WordPress site.

WordPress handles all of the content for you (posts, pages, comments), while the theme transforms that content into a beautiful and clean layout for visitors to enjoy.

Many themes come with customizable options via the WordPress Customizer.


Yes, you can hide the text in the WordPress Customizer.


3.5 Am I allowed to modify the code?

Yes, the license allows you to modify the theme code as much as you like after purchase. However, support is only guaranteed for the original theme code.


3.6 Do page builders work with the theme?

Unfortunately, no page builders have been tested with the Music Maker Theme. Some customers have used page builder plugins, but have not tested them ourselves.


4. Support & Policies

4.1 How do you provide support?

Support is provided via email through the help website, Monday through Friday. Support is not offered through other channels like social media or phone. The support includes answering questions about the theme, assistance with reported bugs, and help with Easy Digital Downloads issues. It does not include theme modifications, custom CSS, third-party plugin support, installation services, or complex server-side issues.

5. Theme Features & Compatibility

5.1 Can Other Music Producers Sign Up and Sell Beats On My Website?

No, this feature is not built into the theme. The theme is designed for single music producers. There are currently no plans to add multi-vendor capabilities.


5.2 What payment options does the theme offer?

By default, the beat store accepts PayPal and Stripe payments.


5.3 Do you take a percentage of beat sales?

No, the creators of the theme do not take any commission on your beat sales. PayPal & Stripe will have their own transaction fees. Read More


5.4 Does the theme support other languages?

The theme has not been officially tested to fully support different languages. While some users have made it work, the level of effort and potential issues are unknown. There are links provided to resources on creating multilingual WordPress sites.

The Music Maker theme has no features related to YouTube Content ID.


5.9 Can the beat player be used in another theme?

No, the beat player and theme files are built into one another, so the player cannot be separated from the Music Maker theme.


5.10 Can the beat store be separated?

No, the Music Maker theme and the beat store features are very integrated and dependent on one another.


5.11 Can the theme generate custom contracts?

No, there are no features to auto-generate customer contracts.


5.12 Do exclusive beats get removed when sold?

No, this feature is not included with the Music Maker theme.


5.13 Can I split beat commissions?

You cannot do this with the theme by default. There is a paid add-on by the creators of the Easy Digital Downloads plugin called Commissions.


5.14 What happens if a new version of WordPress is released? Will the theme still work?

We work to ensure compatibility with the latest versions of WordPress. It’s important to keep your theme updated to benefit from bug fixes and compatibility updates. You can find information about theme updates in the Changelog. It’s also wise to back up your website before any major updates.
