Related FAQs
What do I need to have before I can install the Music Maker theme and demo content?
You need a website host with WordPress.org installed, a domain name connected to your host, and the Music Maker theme ZIP file (MusicMaker.zip) that you downloaded after purchasing the theme. The theme does not work with WordPress.com.
Will installing the demo content delete my existing website content?
Yes, installing the demo content is recommended only for new WordPress installations with no existing content. It will import sample posts, pages, and settings, potentially overwriting any content you already have. If you have an existing website, you should skip the demo content installation.
I’ve installed the theme, but I don’t see a “Beat Store” tab in my WordPress menu. What should I do?
The “Beat Store” tab appears after you have installed and activated the Easy Digital Downloads plugin. You are usually prompted to install this plugin after activating the Music Maker theme.
Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and ensure that “Easy Digital Downloads” is installed and activated. If not, go to Plugins > Add New, search for “Easy Digital Downloads,” install it, and then activate it.
Why does my beat store only show a limited number of beats?
If your beat store is only displaying a limited number of beats (e.g., 10), likely that your Music Maker theme license key has not been activated yet. Go to Music Maker > Getting Started and follow the instructions to activate your license key.
I encountered an error during the demo content import. What should I do?
If you experience issues during demo content import, the first step is to contact your website hosting provider. The issue might be related to server settings, such as PHP limits or security restrictions that are preventing the import process. Explain the problem and ask if they can adjust any settings to allow the import to complete. Also, refer to the troubleshooting steps in the main installation guide for common errors and solutions.
