In the Music Maker 2.2 update, you can now add categories to the product store, photo gallery, events, beat store, FAQs, and video gallery.
If you already have content on your site, you will need to update that content if you want it to sort by categories properly. Here are some tips to add categories faster to your content.
Decide what you want to focus on first. In this example I will focus on Photos. I will click “Photo Categories” on the sidebar.

On the Photo Categories page you will enter the Category name and hit enter. Add a few categories that you will use. Examples: Events, Gear, Music Studio, Behind the Scenes, etc.

Here are a few categories I added.

Now that I have added a few categories, I will now assign photos to the categories. I will now click the “All Photos” link on the sidebar.

Next you will rollover the item on this page you want to edit and click the “Quick Edit” text link.

When you click the link, you will see a option for categories. Check the categories you want to apply to that photo, and click the “Update” button to the right of the page.

The category has now been assigned to that photo. You can also check multiple items on the page and select edit in the drop down menu and click the apply button to assign multiple items to the same category. You will check the categories you want, and click the update button.

That is it. The categories you add will then appear in the drop-down menu on the post type page. Example below:

In this example I applied categories to photos, but you can do the same with beats, products, events, FAQs, and videos.
