3.32 – April 28, 2025

New Navigation Menu Location – You can now align the navigation menu with the site title or logo.

There are 4 menu options: Top, Middle, Bottom, & Hide.

Updates

Menu Font Size – The “Body Font Size” under “Colors & Fonts” now updates the font size in the navigation menu.
Navigation Dropdown Arrow – Down arrows have been added to links that have sub-menus.
Mobile Menu Font Size – Updated the navigation menu font size to 18 pixels on mobile.
Temp Widget – Updated the “Temporary Widget” to only show for logged-in users.
Page Sidebars – Static pages turn to full width if the sidebar has no widgets.
Updated Fonts – Updated the body fonts to a more consistent size.

3.31 – April 22, 2025

New – There is a new website title setting called “Text & Icon”.

Example – You can upload a square icon to appear next to your website title and tagline.

Including a tagline is optional.

By default, the “Text Only” option is selected. So if you currently have a logo image, you will need to go into the WordPress Customizer > Header > and select “Text & Icon” under Site Title & Logo Settings.

3.30 – April 16, 2025

New

The Frontpage “Banner – Image” widget has been updated with 3 layout options:

Text Only – Displays text in the center of the banner.
Text & Image – This option creates 2 columns. It moves the text to the left and the image to the right. Settings have been added for the image height and padding above the text.
- Uploading an image is optional. This will keep the text aligned to the left.
Image Only – Display an image in the center of the banner.

Text & Image Examples

Text & Image option with no image uploaded. The image below is the banner background image. When you select “Text Only”, the text is centered. When you select “Text & Image”, uploading an image is optional.

By default, the “Text Only” option is selected. So if you currently have an image in the center of your banner, you will need to go into the WordPress Customizer > Frontpage Template > Banner – Image, and select “Image Only”.

3.29 – March 25, 2025

New

1. Gradient Backgrounds – Gradient color pickers have been added to all front page widgets, the header, footer, website background, and page title background. Direction Options: Top to Bottom, Right Top, Right to Left, Right Bottom, Left to Right, Left Top, Bottom to Top, and Left Bottom.

2. Greyscale Images – Toggle checkboxes have been added to the following frontpage widgets to turn images black and white: Services, About, Blog, Photos, Products, and Production Credits.

3. Greyscale Background Images – Options have been added to turn background images to black and white for all of the frontpage section backgrounds.

Updates

Footer Background – Updated the footer background to have the same background as the footer widgets.
Default Style – The default style of the theme has been updated with gradients.
Frontpage Performance – Decreased the number of database calls by creating variables.
Customizer Organization – Added additional headers to better group the “Background Image”, “Background Colors”, and “Additional Options” for the frontpage template.
Improvments to Alpha & Paralax Settings – Updated the alpha and parallax settings to only load when a background image is uploaded.

1. Include Pricing Tables in Beat Overlay Windows

You can now include a pricing table shortcode under Customizer > Beat Store Settings > Overlay Window Settings, and a pricing table will appear in the beat overlay window and single beat page for beats that are for sale.

Promo Bar – Fixed the promo bar on mobile to show as a button instead of a text link.

3.19 – June 8, 2020

New

New Smart Slider Template – I created a new slider template that you can import into Smart Slider 3. The slider example includes 10 different slides with different text and background images. You can view it on the demo website. Download the premade slider on this page.

New Column Layout – Added a new column layout for the Beat Store Settings > General Settings.

Banner ( Image ) Text Effects – Added an option to apply CSS effects to the Banner Image headline. There are over 20 CSS text effects.

Demo Styles Built Into the Theme – The demo styles can now be imported into the theme on the One Click Demo Import page. Existing Websites should follow this tutorial.

New Getting Started Wizard – A new set wizard has been added to import sample content, widgets, and activate your license.

Demo Style Slider Banners – All of the demo styles have been updated with slider banners. The sliders are import manually during the updated getting started process.

Banner ( Image ) Subtext Font Size: Added an option to change the subtext font size and color.
Button Font Weight Option – There is now an option under “Fonts” to make the general button text bold.
Updated All Demo Website Styles – All the demo styles have been updated and improved. The colors and text styling have been updated, and a slider banner has been created for all the different demo styles.
Drag & Drop Frontpage Sections – The Frontpage widgets have been updated to automatically refresh the page when dragged and dropped, or deleted in the WordPress Customizer.
Logo Height Settings – Added a logo height option.

Bug Fixes

Beat Store – Fixed the beat store highlighting the first beat when the player is paused.
Incorrect Button Color – Fixed the free download and comment button color not matching the selected accent color.
Beat Store Button – Fixed the width of the beat store name so it doesn’t push down the buy button on beat-related pages with a sidebar.
Blog Frontpage Section – Fixed the incorrect number of blog posts showing.
Photo Frontpage Sections – Fixed the photos not opening in an overlay window.
CSS Grids – Fixed the 4th and 5th column grids not working properly in Google Chrome. Updated responsive code.
Contact 7 Button Color – Updated the Contact 7 form submit buttons to match the accent color you select for your website.
Color Picker Input – Fixed the customizer color input getting covered by color picker on smaller screen resolutions

WordPress Customizer Updates

New Options:
1. Added padding-bottom option to the logo
2. Added a padding-top option to the header social icons
3. Added a color background option to the Banner – Slider section to set a color behind the slider banner while it loads.
Merged & Removed Panels:
1. Overlay Windows: All 4 beat store overlay window settings are now under Customize > Beat Store Settings > Overlay Window Settings

3. New Panels: General and Page & Blog
4. Misc Panel Removed: The 9 panels have been moved to other panels. All of the options still exist, they just have been moved.
5. Header: All the header settings are now organized into one panel.

4. Updated the Google Analytics input text and added a tutorial link.
5. The Banner ( Image ) “Banner Center Image” has been updated with a pencil edit icon to edit faster.
6. Added headings to the Frontpage Settings Panel.
7. Updated: Added a table of contents to the Beat Store > General Settings.
8. Removed: Removed the customizer pencil icon for the “Search Input Text”.
9. Updated: Slider banner alert message and color.
10. Social: Added place holder URLs for social icons.

WordPress Admin

Updated admin text “Hide Sidebar Links” to “Hide Admin Links”.
Added custom text to the Demo Import Page.
The “Product Images” upload inputs have been updated to 200 pixels wide.
Updated the Getting Started Page in WordPress.
Remove the background color from the Music Maker link on the sidebar.
Added code to the license key input to remove spaces before or after the license key number to help avoid activation problems.
Added a link to the front page widget to get back to the Frontpage panels faster.

Frontpage Template Updates

Added padding to the Pricing Table button.
Added CSS to make the testimonials image 100×100.
Updated the header padding on the frontpage, which caused extra spacing.
Updated the “Frontpage Template – Text 3” section to show the selected font color when links are rolled over.
Updated Production credits text “music artist” to “music artists”.
Fixed some responsive issues for the beats store and banner image frontpage sections.
About Section: Updated the About Frontpage Section text.
Auto Cropping of Images – Code was added for the Services, Blog, About, and Production Credits sections to use CSS to crop images to the correct dimensions if they are wrong.

Beat Store Updates

Added commas to the beat store play count number. Added to the dashboard also.
Play Count – Updated the text order. The text order is now “200 Plays”. It was previously Plays: 200
Updated the beat store to not load empty tags for datatag, dataprice, datagenre
Removed: Loading icon animation above the beat store.
Beat Store button – Updated the top margin above the beat buy button.
Updated the beat name font size, bottom padding, and bolding.
Added a slight border-radius to the top of the beat sort bar
Beat Search Input – Added a border-radius, made opacity lighter, and shows 100% on hover
Beat Thumbnails Updated – The beat thumbnails have been updated to properly fit in a square if you upload the incorrect dimensions.
- If the image you upload is not a square and is wide, the beat store thumbnail will show the center of the image. So it is suggested to always upload square images. At least 300×300 pixels

Updated Default Settings

Updated the beat sort pages to full width by default.
Added Default button text to the Frontpage Template.
Enabled “Remove the background color and padding from the content container & widgets” by default.
Added “Smart Slider 3” as one of the plugins to auto-install.
Banner buttons default text changed to “Browse Now”.
Updated “Site Title Top Padding” to 8px from 0.
Header icons: Showing Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by default.
Beat Sort Bar – Enabled the “Instructions Overlay” by default.
The default website background color is now white.

Improved the Getting Started Process

The getting started process has now been simplified.
1. There is now a setup wizard that removes steps in the getting started process.
2. The getting started process now includes importing a demo style and importing slider banners.
3. All the demo styles have been updated to focus on editable text, instead of Photoshop graphics for people who don’t know how to use Photoshop.
4. Added a “Make an Offer” Contact 7 form to the sample content.
5. New videos created for the new getting started process.
Additional Notes:
- Fixed the pricing table sample content import.
- Removed all content links pointing to the sample content website. Images are linked locally to your server.
- Updated sample content and styling to 3.19 options
- Added a notification message to the demo style pop up window
- Removed the “Limited Sample Content ( Existing Website )” sample import option.

Miscellaneous

Mobile Menu – The navigation menu now says “Menu” instead of the first link in the menu. Updated the clickable area of the “Menu” link to make it wider and easier to click.
Google Fonts – Updated the Google Fonts to the latest Google Fonts of CSS 2. Updated the font loading code.
CSS Grids – Updated the CSS for grids .row to remove -15px which caused issues.
Promo Bar – Updated the CSS styling to be bigger to stand out more.
Backup Customizer Text – Created a plugin to backup WordPress Customize text if you decide to update to one of the demo styles.
Purchase Confirmation Page – Added CSS to styling the purchase confirmation page to look better.
Updated the .pot language file.

3.18 – May 5, 2020

Required Actions:

Clear Browser Cache & Cache Plugins: After updating, clear your browser cache and mobile cache to refresh the CSS style sheet.
“No Price” Beats Need Updating: If you have any beats with “No Price”, you need to create and add a make an offer form shortcode in the Customizer Beat Store > General Settings > Form Shortcode
Check Complex Beat Descriptions – The beat description has been updated to a visual editor. If you have any complex beat descriptions with HTML, they may require updating.

3.18 Video Overview

Improved: Overlay Window & Beat Store Loading Time

The content in the overlay window now loads dynamically with Ajax instead of all at once, so the beat store loads faster, and beat descriptions can have more information.

Now Supports Shortcodes* – You can now add shortcodes like the pricing table shortcode.

Overlay Window Preview – This demonstrates more content and a shortcode.

Increased beat description font size increased.
Beat store window now scrolls if it has more content.
Removed the scroll height from beat descriptions.

* All shortcodes may not work. Contact 7 does not work in this window.

The “No Price” button can now open an overlay window with a make an offer form created in Contact 7.

Required Action: You must add the shortcode for your “Make an Offer” form in Customizer > Beat Store Settings > General Settings > Form Shortcode

How to Create Links to the “Make an Offer” Overlay Window – You can add a link to the beat descriptions for beats that are for sale to open the make an offer overlay window. HTML code: http://snippi.com/s/ygs11iy

Display a “Make an Offer” button in the beat sort bar.

If you enable the show button feature, it will add a button above the beat store to make an offer on any of the beats in your beat store.

Improved: Beat Description input

The beat description now has a visual text editor add more text, text styling, and supports most shortcodes*.

Important – You may be required to edit previous beat descriptions if you had complex HTML code.

* Does not support Contact 7 in the overlay window, it breaks the code.

A help icon has been added to the bottom right of WordPress admin to find articles on our help website faster or search the help website.

Bug Fixes

Bold Fonts: Fixed an issue with body fonts not bold with the <strong> tag.
Now normal, bold, and italic all load, instead of just one font-weight.
Invisible Buttons: Fixed an issue with form buttons being invisible with no background color.
WP Admin Menu – Fixed the menu appearing behind help tooltip icons.
Free Beat Download – Fixed issue with free downloads opening a new browser tab.
Active Beat Icon Color – Fixed an issue with the active beat icon color matching beat title color.
Logo Not Centering – Fixed the logo not centering on pages that were not the homepage.
Photo Gallery Widget – Fixed the padding under images.

Updated

Contact 7 Styling – Added additional CSS styling for inputs that had no styling: URL, Select, Date, Email, and more.
Mobile Viewport – Update the viewport code to not zoom into the page when an input is selected.
Removed: Beat Store Paginated Template – It is outdated and no longer supported.
Right-aligned the “Audio Preview” input to be able to see if it ends with .mp3
Added a fade-in animation to the Beat store widget and audio player on the single beat page.
Updated the header CSS to fix some padding issues.
Updated the beat store and beat widget to only show beat names on 1 line of text, and it hides text for beats with long names.

Beats with “No Price” Changes

This option now opens in the overlay window or can go to the single beat page to read the beat description.
The “Make an Offer” button appears when the overlay or single beat page is open.

WordPress Customizer Changes

The “Playlist Buying Settings” has been renamed “Playlist Button Settings”
The “Add to Cart ( Overlay Window )” settings have been merged into the General Settings.
The “Custom Text” settings have been merged into the General Settings.
Customizer Panel “Audio Player & Playlist Colors” renamed “Audio Player Colors”
Rearranged the Beat Store > General Settings grouping of options.
“Show Beat Description” option removed, the description automatically appears now.
Renamed “Beat Store Settings” to “General Settings”
The “Show the Continue Shopping button” has been disabled by default.
Renamed “Beat Store” to “Beat Store Settings”

3.16 – March 30, 2020

Bug Fixes

Fixed The Beat Store Admin Columns – I removed the color status column because it didn’t work properly for some WordPress users.

Updated

Updated The Beat Store Playlist Thumbnail Image Size ( Code ) – This should help decrease some of the loading time for the beat store.
- The previous thumbnail size source code size was not 75×75 pixels. This update now adds a new thumbnail size to make the thumbnail size in the player 75×75 pixels. This only applies to new thumbnail images moving forward, unless you regenerate all thumbnail images.
- How to Regenerate All Thumbnail Images
  1. Install the Regenerate Thumbnails and activate it.
  2. In WordPress click Regenerate Thumbnails under Tools on the sidebar.
  3. Click the Regenerate Thumbnails for Attachment button – This can take a while if you have a lot of images.
  4. The thumbnail images in the beat store playlist should now be resized to a smaller size for faster loading.
  5. You can deactivate and delete the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
  6. Note: If you have any beat thumbnail images that are animated gifs, Regenerating Thumbnails will make them single images without the animation.

3.15 – February 2, 2020

Bug Fixes

Beat Sort Dropdown – Fixed an issue with the beat sorting dropdown menu showing scrollbars vertically and horizontally.
Fixed iOS 13.1.2 Font Issue – It appears in the latest version of iOS mobile, the text below the first 5 beats does not appear until the playlist is clicked.
Sped Up the Beat Store Fade-in Animation – Updated the beat store fade-in animation from 5 seconds to 1 second.
Removed strange padding at the bottom of the beat store scroll window.
X-Small Clothing Size – Fixed an issue with the product store clothing size X-Small not working.

SEO Improvements

Improvements have been made to the Frontpage Sections Template that should help with SEO rankings.

Added Alt Tags to the about image, banner image, services images, featured blog images, production credits, photo gallery, product store images, and more.
Added No Follow Links to Unimportant Links – The nofollow tag tells search engines to ignore that link. – Source
1. Added to the following: Sharing links ( FB, Twitter, Email ), beat sorting links, free download link, Promo close link, mobile menu link, faq toggle, overlay window, and more.
Updated the Homepage Header Tag Hierarchy – This applies to how search engines read the H1, H2, H3 tags on your homepage.
- <h1> – Is now your Website Name
  - <h2> – Homepage Banner Headline
    - <h3> – All Other Frontpage Section Titles
- How this helps: Search engines read headings to determine the importance of page sections. They use this information to gauge the page’s ‘weight’ for the search engine listings. – Source
Website Name Updated to <p> Tag – Your website name appears in a <h1> on the homepage, and all other pages appear in a <p> tag to prioritize the <h1> and content on those pages to help your rankings.

Frontpage Sections Template

How to Use:
1. Add the “Frontpage: Social Icons” widget to your frontpage template.
2. Edit settings under WordPress Customizer > Frontpage Template > Social Icons.

4. Offer Beat Preview Downloads

Some music producers want to allow music artists the option to download beat previews before buying a beat. A new input has been added to allow you to offer a beat preview to download.

When you upload a Preview Download, a button appears in the overlay window and the single beat page.

Image Preview – Live Preview

You can also add a required checkbox and text that people must agree to before they can download the beat preview file.

Edit the button text and checkbox text at Customizer > Beat Store > Custom Text > Beat Preview Download.

Beat Preview Notes:

The required checkbox option does not appear by default. You must turn it on in the WordPress Customizer.
Put your MP3 files in a ZIP file because MP3 files will play in the browser and not download.

Track Beat Plays

You can now see how many times a song in the beat store playlist has been played.

To show or hide the play count, go to Customize > Beat Store > Beat Store Settings.
The play count is hidden by default. You can also change the “Plays” text.

View Total Plays on the Dashboard

Tracking Details

Single beat page views are still tracked.
The “Plays” text does not appear if the beat has no plays.
All beats will start at 0 plays because the tracking does not start until version 3.0.

New Animated Bars

You can now turn on an option to have animated bars appear when a track in the beat store playlist is playing.

Go to Customize > Beat Store > Beat Store Settings to show or hide this feature, and go to Customize > Beat Store > Audio Player & Playlist Colors to change the animated bars colors.

Important: The animated bars animation is random, it does NOT sync with audio.

Under Customize > Beat Store > Audio Player & Playlist Colors you can now adjust the color of the audio player.

This option also changes the single audio player color.

You can now also pick the color of the checkout button when an item is in the shopping cart.

New Overlay Windows

Bigger Beat Description Input

The beat description input is now bigger to add more text on the single beat pages.

The code has been updated to read line breaks in the text without HTML code.
If you have beat descriptions with a lot of text, please double check the single beat page to see how it looks, and remove any unnecessary formatting.

Beat Descriptions Appear in Overlay Window

Under Customize > Beat Store > Add to Cart ( Overlay Window ), you can now select to display beat descriptions in the overlay window.

Also, the Free Beat download link now opens up an overlay window so you can include text in the beat description to include free beat limitations.

New Soundwave Audio Player

You can now select a new Soundwave audio player on the single beat page. View Live Demo

Audio Preview for Products

A new input has been added when editing products to upload an MP3 audio file. Live Preview

MP3 format is the only supported audio preview format.

The single product pages now have the option to display related products. This feature randomly loads products from your product store. View Live Preview

To show or hide related products go to Customize > Product Store
You can also change the “Related Products” text.

Additional Single Product Page Changes

You can switch the product image on the single product page to appear on the left or right. Edit at Customize > Product Store.
The sorting dropdown has been removed from single product pages.
The product categories now appear under the social icons.
The price has been moved up above the product description.

New Page Title Option

You can now select a full width page title under Customize > Misc > Page Title.

The previous page titles are set by default, to change this go to Customize > Misc > Page Title.

Page Animations

You can now select from 20 different animation styles on how information is loaded into a page.

Animations are triggered when a page is loaded, or when a visitor scrolls up or down a page.
By default, all pages are given a Fade In option.
You can turn off this feature if you like.
To edit click Customize > Misc and click which section you would like to edit.
Customizer Note: Animations may not always preview in the customizer, but will work on the live site.

Sticky Navigation Menu

Under Customize > Header > Menu Location, you can now select to have a sticky navigation menu.

When turned on, the sticky navigation menu appears when the page is scrolled down past 500 pixels.

Change Button Style

Under Customize > Colors you can choose to make your website button square, round, or pill shape.

Fonts

Adjust Website Name Font Size & Padding

Under Customize > Header > Logo & Title you can now change your sites title font size and top padding.

This gives you the option to remove the tagline and center your site’s name vertically with the social media icons.

Modify Google Font Weights

You can now adjust the font weights for the fonts you select.

Not all fonts have different font weights, so you will have to test out the different font weights to see which ones work.

Google Fonts Select Menus

The Google Font inputs have been updated to select drop-downs to help people avoid entering incorrect names or leaving the input empty. Over 800 font names included.

New Welcome Panel

A new welcome panel appears on the dashboard with links to access sections in WordPress faster. If you have suggestions for the links, leave a comment.

Troubleshooting After Updating

You should follow this tutorial completely to avoid confusion.
All previous Theme Options ( Accept the under beat store text ) have been moved to the WordPress Customizer.
Get familiar with the long list of new features and tabs.
Conflicting CSS – If you have CSS code that does something that the new WordPress Customizer does, you should remove the CSS code to avoid conflicts.
If you are having another issue that isn’t Customizer related, check out how to troubleshoot.
If you are using a cache plugin, clear the cache, and deactivate the plugin.

Before You Update:

The FAQs post type and the template have been removed. If you are currently using the built-in FAQs, you should back up all your FAQ questions and answers to a text or word document before updating. Then you can follow this post to create a FAQ page manually, or maybe search for a FAQ plugin.

Updated JQuery – The theme previously loaded a version of JQuery that wouldn’t work with some WordPress plugins. This update should help the Music Maker theme work better with other plugins. There are no guarantees though. Please make sure you test out your site to make sure everyone works like it did before the update.
Default Audio Player Volume – The volume previously started at 50%, it now starts at 80%.
Twitter Share Button – The Twitter button code has been updated to fix a bug.
Updated WordPress Help Instructions – Each custom post type in WordPress had instructions on how to add content, the content now links to the help site to get the most up to date information.
Free Beat Download Input – This input has now been moved into the Beat Details box when adding a beat.
Homepage Banner Updates:
– When adding a homepage banner you can check a box to open the homepage banner in a new window. This works well with external links.
– Featured Image box changed to Homepage Banner Image.
– In WordPress on the all banners page, the banner preview is bigger.
The “Featured Image” box has been renamed in WordPress for some of the custom post types.
Sidebar links in WordPress have been updated:
– Photo Gallery has been updated to Photos.

FAQ Feature Removed – This feature appears to be not used by many, so it has been removed. Tutorial: How to create a FAQ page manually.

Add Beats From Homepage – A new option has been added that lets you add beats with variable to the shopping cart directly from the beat store homepage. When the buy button is clicked on the beat store homepage, the pricing options appear in a overlay window.

Feature Details

This feature only works with the beat store playlist templates.
Beats with single prices open in an overlay window also.
If a beat has an image, it appears in the overlay window. If no image has been added, nothing appears.
Social icons now appear in the overlay window and not when a beat is rolled over. You can edit this option under the Theme Options, Beat Store tab.
If a beat has been added to the shopping cart, if you close the overlay, and revisit the overlay, a checkout button appears.
To turn on this feature, go to the Theme Options panel, Beat Store tab, select Add from Homepage next to Add to Cart Page.
If you do not want to use this feature, select “Send to Single Beat Page” next to Add to Cart Page.
A beat will need to be removed from the cart and the page refreshed before the variable prices appear again.
Do you have a lot of beats? If you have a lot of beats, the “add from homepage” option may not be best for you because the window overlay loads more code. Maybe use the beat sort template as your homepage to load less beats by default.

A new option has been added in the Theme Options Panel to select the buy button for the beat store playlist template. You can select to have the cart icon or a buy button. You can edit this option under the Theme Options, Beat Store tab.

In the beat sorting bar you can now select to show the number of items in the shopping cart. When clicked, it takes the user to the checkout page. You can edit this option under the Theme Options, Beat Store tab.

A new scroll to top button has been added that appears on the bottom right of your website. When clicked it takes the user back to the top of your website.

This icon does NOT appear on mobile devices under 460 pixels of width.

New: Sort Beats by Price

A new option has been added to sort beats by price. This feature works the same way you would apply a genre, category, or tag to a beat.

You will first need to create a group of prices. This is a free form input, so you can do what works best for you.

Example 1: If all your beats only have two prices. Then you can make two options like $19.99 and $100 to sort by.

Example 2: If you want to do a price range, you can do something like $20 – $30, $40 – $60.

How you label your beat sorting options is up to you.

Additional Notes

You will need to add this to your beats manually.
On the price sorting page, the title you give your beat store in the theme options is the title of the page.
You can edit this option to appear in the beat sorting bar under the Theme Options, Beat Store tab.

New: Beat Sort Template

A new beat sorting template has been added named “Beat Sort Template. This template allows you to create new beat store pages for specific genres, or specific beat categories, or specific beat tags. View on Demo Site

These pages can be used for SEO purposes, like if you want to have a page dedicated to promoting Hip Hop beats for sale, you can add text above or below the beat store and it will have it’s own unique url.

Examples of Uses:

Popular Beats: If you have a category or tag labeled “Popular” beats. You can create a new static page with this template and make popular beats your homepage.
Beats On Sale: If you have a category or tag labeled “On Sale”. You can create a new static page with this template and promote this page on social sites.
Music Producer: If you have a category or tag labeled as a Music Producer’s name. You can create a page to only show those beats.
Free Beats: If you have a category or tag labeled “Free Beats,” beats. You can create a new page for this.

Template Features

You can sort by genres, or beat tags, or beat categories. ( One input at a time )
You can add text above or below the beat store. Shortcodes do NOT work below the beat store.
Select to include the sidebar or have a full width page.
Hide the beat sorting bar. ( Optional )

Page Limitations

You can only use one sorting input at a time. You can NOT mix genres, beat categories, and beat tags, this will break the audio player.
You can enter in multiple words for one input. Example Genre Sorting: hip hop, pop, club
Incorrect spelling of genres, categories, or tags will break the player.
Only enter in existing genres, beat categories, and beat tags.
The sidebar for this template is the “Beat Store Sidebar”.

New Mobile Menu -A new more up to date mobile menu has been added to replace the old drop down navigation menu. The menu appears when the screen resolution is below 880 px. Test it out on the demo site. The menu has been tested in the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, iPhone, and iPad. Test the navigation once you update to make sure it works properly.
Clear Results Button – A “Clear” button has been added to the beat sorting pages. If a user sorts beats by genre, category, tag, or searches. This clear button will appear in the sorting bar. When the button is clicked it will take them back to your beat store homepage.
Help Tab in WordPress – A new Help link has been added to WordPress. This page has links to all the current articles on the help site to find answers faster. Find over 200 helpful articles.

The grid layout shortcodes can be used to create landing pages, discography pages, promotional pages, and much more.

New Beat Store Template Option View Live Demo

Automatically Start Beat Store Player ( Optional ) – In the options panel you can now check a box to automatically start your beat store.

Beat Store Thumbnails ( Optional ) – You can now Include thumbnail images on the beat store homepage. If you do not upload a image a default image is automatically added. Thumbnails automatically disappear on smaller screens ( Mobile ).

Faster Loading – The player should take up less server resources because only one instance of flash is loading.

Add to Cart From Beat Store Homepage ( Only for Single Priced Beats ) – If your beat has one price, it can now be added to the shopping cart widget directly from the beat store homepage. But if your beat has multiple prices ( variable pricing ), you will be redirected to the single beats page to see the multiple license price options. You need to have the Download Cart widget on the same page as your beat store to take advantage of this feature.

Beat Store Color Themes – There are 2 beat store color options: Light and Dark.

Next and previous track buttons to skip beats.

New Icon Buttons – The buy button and free download button on the beat store homepage are now icons.

Highlight Icon – You can now select a highlight icon when adding beats. You can select “On Sale”, “New”, and “Popular”. If you do not like the provided icons, you can change them with CSS.

Modify Free Download Text – A free download text input has been added to the theme options panel so you can change the text of what a free beat says on your beat store homepage.

Lowest to Highest Price – In the other beat store templates the beat store shows the starting at price. In this new template if you have multiple prices, you will see the lowest and highest price which will look like this: $19.99 – $500.00. If you only have one price it will only show one price.

Producer names now appear on the beat store homepage if the information has been added to the beat.

Edit Beat Information Link -An icon link now appears in the beat store window when you rollover the beat name to update information faster. This link only appears when logged in. Unfortunately when you click a beat, the player will start playing, but if you right click the icon and open in a new tab the player will not start.

Remove WordPress Admin Menu Links – A new feature has been added under Settings called “Admin Sidebar Links” that will allow you to hide the WordPress admin sidebar links. So if you don’t want to use the features like Events, FAQs, Video Gallery, etc, you can hide these features.

Easy Digital Downloads 1.9.4 Bug Fixed – You can now upgrade to the latest version. Removed: Custom PHP files from edd_templates folder to help avoid future update problems. The checkout page is now using default template layout.

Tag cloud widget bug fixed.

New

Continue shopping button added to single beat page to link back to your beat store homepage. You can easily change the text in this button, or choose to hide the button in the options panel under the Beat Store tab. This button only appears on “For Sale” beats.

Change navigation menu location to appear above or below your site logo. To change this go to theme options under the header tab.

Beats now have categories and tags for sorting. More sorting options. You already had “Type/Genre”, but now you can add tags and categories to beats.

Widgets: You can now use the Downloads category and tags widget for beats.

Categories added to the product store, photo gallery, events, FAQs, and videos. You can now add custom categories to each one of these post types, so the visitor can sort by category on the main page of each post type.

Paginated beat store table template. This is an optional beat store template that breaks the beat store table into increments of 20.

Genre Widget Added – Adding this widget will list all the genres you have beats for and when clicked will take the user to a page that only list beats for that genre.

Text Banner Widget Added – Create a simple text banner. Change the background color, font sizes, and button color without touching any code.

3 Previous Widgets Updated – Recent post, random beats, and newest beats have all been updated to now include a title input field, and the number of items to display is now in a drop down menu.
