If your website is still a work in progress, you can add a under construction plugin to hide your site from the public, while you still work on it.
1. In WordPress click Add New under Plugins on the sidebar.
2. In the input on the top right enter Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd, and hit enter on your keyboard.
3. Click the Install Now button.
4. Click the Activate link.
5. Click Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode on the sidebar under Settings.
6. In the General box select Enable Coming Soon Mode and click the Save all Changes button.
7. Under Page Settings add a logo, headline, and message. Then click the Save All Changes button.
8. Click the Design tab.
9. Select the coming soon page background color and click the Save All Changes button.
